LScope
Licence
LScope is licensed to you, not sold. The short version: it reads from controllers and never writes to them, it collects no data about you, and it is not a safety device.
Machine safety. LScope is a diagnostic instrument. It is not a safety device, and it is not part of any machine's safety system.
Never rely on LScope to determine that a machine is safe to approach, enter, or service. Follow your employer's lockout/tagout and energy isolation procedures. A value on screen can be stale, wrong, or read from the wrong controller, and the app has no way to know that it is any of those things.
LScope does not write to controllers and cannot change machine behaviour. That reduces the risk of using it — it does not make a running machine safe to stand next to.
Licence
You may use LScope on devices you own or control, for your own work or your employer's. You may not resell it, rent it, redistribute it, or reverse engineer it except where law says you may regardless of this agreement. LeRoy Industrial keeps ownership of the software, its name, and its design.
Read-only operation
This version contains no write capability. There is no code anywhere in the app that writes a value to a controller, so it cannot be enabled by a setting, a purchase, or a mistake. If a future version adds writing, it will say so plainly, and it will not be turned on without you turning it on.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for having permission to connect to the controllers and networks you point LScope at. Many plants treat the control network as restricted, and connecting a personal device to one can be a disciplinary matter regardless of whether the app writes anything.
You are responsible for interpreting what you see, and for any decision you make from it.
No warranty
LScope is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will work with every controller, every firmware revision, or every network. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of defects. Compatibility with any particular equipment is not guaranteed, and equipment you have not tested it against should be assumed untested.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, LeRoy Industrial is not liable for lost production, damaged equipment, injury, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using LScope. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid for the app.
Beta
Pre-release builds are distributed through TestFlight for evaluation. They will change, they may break, and builds expire. Please do not share builds, screenshots of unreleased features, or what you learn about how the app works, without asking first. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product, without obligation or payment.

Ending this agreement
You can end it by deleting the app. We can end it if you breach it. Beta access can be withdrawn at any time.
Governing law
California law, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
