The app itself collects nothing about you.
No account, no sign-in, no servers of ours, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party code bundled in the app. LScope does not phone home.
That covers the software. It does not cover things you deliberately send us, which are set out below — because the honest answer to "what do you collect" has two halves, and only one of them is nothing.
Machines, watchlists, tag names, alarms, trends and session logs are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage, and are removed when you delete the app. If your device backs up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup is governed by Apple's terms, not ours.
The only connection LScope opens is to the controller address you type in. Nothing is sent anywhere else — not to us, not to anyone.
Reports, CSV files and snapshots go wherever you choose to send them. Once you share one it is yours to look after: a controller snapshot can say a good deal about a customer's machine.
This is the part where we do see something. If you send feedback from within TestFlight, Apple passes it to us — and that can include your name and the email address you were invited with, whatever you typed, any screenshot you attached, and details of your device, iOS version and app build. Crash reports come with diagnostic logs.
None of that is anonymous, and a screenshot of a diagnostic screen may show a customer's tag names, values, controller address or machine identity. Look at what is on screen before you attach it, and redact anything you should not be sharing.
We use beta feedback only to find and fix problems. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. Your participation in TestFlight is also subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
If you write to support@lscope.app we obviously receive your message, your address, and anything you attach. Our email runs on Google Workspace, so it is stored there. We keep support correspondence while it is useful for supporting you and delete it when it is not.
The app and this site link to Ethernet adapters on Amazon using affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Following one takes you to Amazon, and Amazon's privacy policy then applies — we receive no personal information about you from it, only aggregate figures about whether purchases happened.
You can use LScope without ever sending us anything: the app works fully without feedback or email. If you have sent us feedback or email and want it deleted, write to support@lscope.app and we will delete it.
LScope is an industrial tool intended for use at work. It is not directed at children.
If this notice changes materially, the version number in the app is raised and you are asked to read it again on next launch.
